Licensing
This page explains how Open Almond Studios content may be used, shared, streamed, or adapted under our Covenant Gaming License.

1. Copyright & Ownership
Unless otherwise stated, all Open Almond Studios materials are proprietary and protected by copyright.
This includes written, visual, and mechanical elements across our website and products.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Written & Narrative Content
- Warriors of the Covenant rulebooks, lore, roles, and mechanics.
- Legacy of the Remnant rulebooks, systems, scenarios, and narrative content.
- Hall of Faith Quest Deck text, summaries, and prompts.
- Covenant Path devotionals, studies, and teaching materials.
- Worldbuilding, adventures, fiction, and scenario content.
- Blog posts, diagrams, teaching tools, and articles.
Visual & Design Assets
- Almond-eye emblem and almond-branch symbol.
- Logos, wordmarks, and brand identity assets.
- Character portraits and role art.
- UI elements, icons, diagrams, layouts, and presentations.
Game Systems & Mechanics
- Integrity Engine (3d8 system and related mechanics).
- Four Pillars framework (Heart, Soul, Mind, Strength).
- Covenant Pressure Meter and Fear/Fury systems.
- Witness role and related narrative frameworks.
- Any mechanics originated by Open Almond Studios.
Nothing in our products transfers ownership. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
2. Trademarks & Brand Identity
The following are Open Almond Studios trademarks and protected brand identifiers:
- Open Almond Studios
- Integrity Engine
- Warriors of the Covenant
- Legacy of the Remnant
- Hall of Faith / Hall of Faith Hero Deck
- Covenant Path
- Almond-eye and almond-branch logos
These marks may not be used on products, merchandise, branding, publications, or promotional materials without written permission.
3. Covenant Gaming License (CGL)
The Covenant Gaming License defines how Open Almond Studios works may be used.
You may:
- Play our games in private groups.
- Use content for personal study and preparation.
- Use materials in home groups and Bible studies.
- Stream, record, and publish gameplay sessions or clips.
- Share brief excerpts with attribution.
- Quote content in reviews, commentary, or discussion.
You may not:
- Upload PDFs or digital products publicly.
- Redistribute books or digital files.
- Use Open Almond Studios branding or logos without permission.
- Sell derivatives or expansions.
- Claim official endorsement or compatibility.
- Train AI models on our text or artwork.
Streamed or recorded content must preserve fidelity to the historical, theological, and narrative intent of the work (the Platinum Rule).
Permission to stream or record play does not grant permission to reproduce or distribute written or artistic content.
4. Homebrew (Table-Only Use)
Homebrew modifications are permitted for private use within one play group.
Homebrew content may not be publicly posted, published, distributed, or sold.
Homebrew may not use Open Almond Studios trademarks or imply official endorsement.
Public or commercial derivatives require express written permission.
5. Church & Ministry Use
Churches, missionaries, and ministries may use our materials for teaching and discipleship.
Sessions may be used for youth, adult education, church campaigns, and ministry outreach.
Physical library usage:
- Churches and ministries may purchase physical books.
- Physical copies may be placed in church or ministry libraries.
- Members may check out and return those physical copies.
This permission applies only to lawfully purchased physical books.
It does not permit scanning, digitizing, copying, or digital redistribution.
Extended ministry permissions can be requested through licensing contact.
6. Fan Content & Community Creations (Non-Commercial)
Non-commercial fan creativity is welcome.
You may create homebrew roles, private quests, actual-play content, fan art, lessons, and table handouts.
Requirements:
- Include: "Unofficial fan content; not affiliated with Open Almond Studios."
- Do not use Open Almond Studios logos or trademarks.
- Do not reproduce large portions of text or artwork.
- Do not sell, monetize, or commercially distribute fan derivatives.
Commercial permissions require approval via licensing@openalmond.com.
7. Scripture & Bible Translations
Open Almond Studios references and quotes Scripture regularly.
- Scripture itself is not claimed as proprietary content.
- Bible passages are quoted under the permissions of their published translations.
- Translation names and exact wording remain property of their respective publishers.
Scripture quoting should always follow the permissions of the source translation.
8. Website Content & Articles
All articles, studies, blog posts, and written site content are proprietary.
You may link to content and quote brief excerpts with attribution for commentary, review, or teaching.
You may not repost full pages, mirror site content, or redistribute full written works without permission.
9. Marketing & Social Media Content
Marketing copy, promotional images, and social posts are proprietary.
You may share links and use platform-native sharing tools.
You may not rehost marketing assets, repost full text off-platform, or remove attribution or branding.
10. Global Restrictions
Unless expressly permitted, users may not:
- Redistribute proprietary content.
- Mirror or host full works.
- Publish derivative products.
- Use studio game names for unofficial works in misleading ways.
- Use content commercially without written permission.
- Remove copyright notices.
- Upload protected content to public repositories.
11. Termination
Violation of these terms immediately terminates all permissions granted on this page.

Summary
Open Almond Studios products, systems, mechanics, artwork, and written content are proprietary and protected by copyright and trademark law.
Players and ministries may use content for personal, table, and ministry purposes under the CGL.
Streaming and actual-play media are permitted. Redistribution and commercial use require permission.
